Here are a few useful guidelines that will make your experience with us easier.
- Meeting structure / 3,5h, CEST time zone (check your local time here):
- 17:00 - 17:05 / Intro & Announcements (5 min) / Life Architect Team
- 17:05 - 18:55 / Workshop (1h 50 min) / You
- 18:55 - 19:10 / Break (15 min)
- 19:10 - 19:40 / Guided Somatic Explorations (30 min) / Elia Mrak
- 19:40 - 20:30 / Practice Circles (50 min) / Practice Facilitators
- Your session is marked yellow above. Please remember to end on time, 5 minutes before the full hour.
- In the middle of your workshop, we’d like to have a short, 5-minute movement break. We can decide just before the workshop if you’d like to facilitate the movement, or if you prefer that we do that.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your session so we can adjust the microphone and camera setting with our Tech Team.
- The Zoom link for your workshop:
- Support from our team
- Your workshop will be hosted and held by Andreia Pacheco, Ph.D. - a Portuguese psychologist and psychotherapist, certified L3 Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist, and an IFS-I clinical approved consultant.
- Also, there will be our Tech Team present at all times (2 or 3 persons) to assist with any technical issues.
- During the workshop
- Please don’t attend to the chat during your presentation. If you want to attend to questions or comments showing up there, please dedicate a separate block for Q&A and then read the questions on the chat, or ask Andreia to help you with that. Participants usually find it distracting if the teacher reads each new message coming in to the chat.
- The Training Outline
- Below please see the list of each workshop outlined with a few bullet points.
- It’s important that you are aware of what is being said before and after your workshop, so you can adequatly present your material, without repeating things that were already presented.
Workshop 1 / 17.9 / Vincentia Schroeter / Introduction to Somatic Therapy
- What is Somatic therapy and how does it differ from talk therapy?
- Why is there so much interest in trauma?
- Developmental (ACE) vs acute trauma (and how they dovetail)
- What is “window of tolerance” in the ANS?
Workshop 2 / 24.9 / Frank Anderson / The Neurobiology of Trauma
- Neurobiology of PTSD and dissociation (fight, flight, freeze, etc. and self identity and trauma)
